libderby-java software package provides Apache Derby Database Engine and Embedded JDBC Driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libderby-java
libderby-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libderby-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libderby-java *
You will get with libderby-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
